Advanced Feature: Custom Fields
This powerful feature lets you fill information in fields that are not standard username or password boxes.
What is a Field Identifier? A Field Identifier is a specific "address" for an element on a webpage. By providing this address, you tell the extension exactly which box to fill with your data.
How to use the Element Selector
- Add a Field
In the popup, click the + Add Custom Field button while adding or editing a credential. - Start the Tool
Click the yellow Selector Identifier button. The popup will close, and the webpage will enter "picker mode". - Pick the Element
Your cursor becomes a crosshair. As you move it, elements will be highlighted. Click directly on the input field you want to fill (e.g., the "Email" box). - Paste the Selector
An alert will confirm "Selector Copied to Clipboard!". Re-open the popup and paste this into the Field Identifier field. - Add Your Data & Save
Fill in the Label and the Value (the text to be filled), then click the main Save Credential button.
